[atrb=background,http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d146/---Kirstie---/caractacusmiddle.png]She had been an awful mother to him and his brother. She was the reason why he had to watch out for the cracks. His eyes raised from the ground temporarily to look around. There was still a long way before he'd reach the other side of the water, but Caractacus was in no hurry whatsoever. He had nothing to do, really. Sighing, he stopped for a moment and stared up at the sky. A crow. He began to hiss under his breath the rhyme he knew far too well, "One for sorrow, two for mirth, three's a mating, four's a birth, five is Heaven, six is Hell, seven is the Devil himself. Caractacus certainly didn't want sorrow in his life, so he quickly looked around for another. He let out a whoop of joy once he saw another crow fly beside it, and he quickly lowered his head, feeling like a fool for looking for crows. He knew they were bad luck, yet he was still completely entranced by them. Caractacus continued walking, tiptoeing near every crack just in case. Everything seemed to be bad luck nowadays. |
